Will you help me raise money for future scholarship students?

Dear all, thanks for visiting my page!

I was brought up in a small village in China where education resources were limited. When I was barely 11 years old, my parents sent me away to live alone in the town so that I could continue my study. That was the best they could do to give me the chance to study. Since then, I have received numerous help from family, relatives, friends, and even anonymous people, without whom I wouldn't have completed my studies and become a professor at Erasmus University. So, I know well from my personal experience how tiny help in education can change a person's life.  As my colleague, Jelle,  says

"Education is a marathon, but not everybody gets the chance to run." 

With my colleagues Anna Nikulina, Negin Jamili, and Sabine Ockhuijsen, I am running the relay marathon to raise money for scholarships for promising future international students who otherwise do not have the financial resources to study at Erasmus University Rotterdam. A scholarship for one student costs € 15.000,00 for 1 year. By raising money at the Erasmus Charity Run we can make them reach their full potential and enable them to become catalysts for positive change. I firmly believe that this investment in their future education and development is a great cause and makes an invaluable contribution to society! 

Besides, I am still recovering from childbirth and nowadays I seldom have time/energy to excise. I used to be able to run 20km without any problem but now I need to stop for breath every 500 meters. Your donation will also motivate me greatly to exercise regularly.
