Running in Support of International Student Scholarships

Run, run, run…to invest in the education of a student. In reality, I’ll do the running, will you take this chance to invest in a student’s future?
On April 13, I’m running a quarter marathon with the amazing EMBA26 team to support student scholarships. All funds raised will go towards scholarships for international students who want to study in Rotterdam.
Funds like this are incredibly important. As a child of two parents who received student scholarships, I have seen first hand the positive impact such an opportunity can have on an individual’s life and how it inspires a person to pay it forward. Both my parents started their careers in education. My mom taught English in Yemen and Egypt, and later started a creative business where she found and nurtured employees' skills and created a space for artists. My dad has focused his career on increasing education opportunities for students, educators, and working professionals throughout the Middle East.
You may not know who you are investing in when you donate, but it will be an investment in someone exceptional. And through an educational institution such as Erasmus University, the student selected will be able to build on the opportunity and pay their experience forward.
I love when I can combine a cause I care about with running! I quite literally “ran” into running in middle school physical education class. I joined the cross country team that season. Ever since then running has been many things to me: my main exercise, a reminder that I can keep pushing myself past the limits I thought existed, a way to clear my head and release stress, a mode of transportation to work, and a beautiful way to build community.
Thank you in advance for donating!
