Why do we raise money for student scholarships?

By participating in the Erasmus Charity Run, you can provide students from all around the world with the same opportunities you've had. Together, we donate our time and energy to raise funds for the Erasmus Trust Fund Scholarships. These scholarships are intended for promising students who, due to their background, have less access to higher education. Each scholarship amounts to € 15,000, which covers their expenses for housing, travel, and books. In most programs, scholarship recipients are exempt from paying institutional fees and only need to cover statutory tuition fees, their visa, and insurance. This way, Erasmus University Rotterdam and the Erasmus Trust Fund provide scholarships that offer talented students a chance at success.
